Privacy Policy

RentDossier is an independent publisher of document templates for renters in England. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. You can reach us any time at info@rentdossier.co.uk.

What we collect

• Your email address, but only if you ask us for the free Move-In Photo Checklist. We use it to send you that checklist and, after that, occasional guides for renters. You can unsubscribe from any email. We record which form you used so we know which part of the site is useful — that is all we store alongside the address.
• Anonymous usage statistics via Plausible Analytics. Plausible sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. We see page views and referrers in aggregate, not individuals.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store any details about your tenancy, your landlord, your property or your deposit. Nothing you write into the PDFs is ever sent to us — the files stay on your own device.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Gumroad, not by us. Your card details are handled entirely by Gumroad and never reach our systems. Gumroad shares your email address with us as the seller so we can provide support for your order. Gumroad's own privacy policy governs their processing.

Email and the free checklist

Email addresses are stored and sent by Kit (ConvertKit), our email provider, acting as our processor. Kit is based in the United States and transfers are covered by their standard contractual clauses.

We use double opt-in. After you submit the form we send one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else is sent unless you click that confirmation, and if you never confirm, the address is not added to our list. Once confirmed you receive the free checklist, then occasional guides for renters. Subscribers who arrive this way are tagged leadmagnet-movein so we can keep those emails relevant.

Every email has a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all future email immediately.

Legal basis and retention

We rely on your consent for marketing emails — given when you confirm your address — and on legitimate interests for anonymous analytics. We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email info@rentdossier.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
